Any version of Excel can be covered from Excel 2000, Excel XP, Excel 2003 to Excel 2007. All Excel courses are one day in length.
MS Excel Introduction
This course introduces the delegate to the basic commands, functions and capabilities of Microsoft Excel. It is designed for those computer users who are new to spreadsheets or are only going to use Excel occasionally. Upon completion the delegate will be able to:
- Use Excel to create, save & open spreadsheets
- Enter & edit information in worksheets
- Use formulas & simple functions to add, subtract, multiply & divide numbers
- Enhance worksheets with fonts and borders
- Format numbers & resize cells
- Preview & print spreadsheets

MS Excel Intermediate
This course provides delegates with a brief review of Excel basics and introduces them to more features, functions and data handling techniques within Excel. It is designed for those computer users who use spreadsheets on a regular day to day basis. Upon completion the delegate will be able to:
- Use relative, mixed & absolute cell references
- Manage & navigate worksheets in a workbook
- Sort & filter information held in tables
- Create & use custom cell formats
- Use conditional formatting to highlight results
- Use logical, mathematical, statistical, date/time & text functions
- Use Named cell ranges in formulas · Customise charts & control chart options
- Use drawing tools & fill effects for pictures & illustrations
MS Excel Advanced
This course introduces delegates to the advanced features of Excel. It is designed for the experienced computer user and helps delegates to analyse their data whilst increasing their proficiency as an Excel user. Upon completion the delegate will be able to:
- Record Macros to automate tasks
- Create & modify toolbars to run Macros
- Create & use Custom Excel functions
- Use Auditing Tools to check for errors in formulas
- Combine functions in formulas & create Nested IFs
- Use Protection to prevent accidental changes
to formulas
- Use formulas to link data in separate
Worksheets & Workbooks
- Use analysis tools such as Goal Seek & PivotTables to analyse data
- Import & export
