Credentials
Andy HardyAll of our training is developed and delivered by our Training Director,
Andy Hardy.

Andy established F1rst i.T. in 2006 to deliver quality Microsoft training to corporate clients across the UK.

A large part of Andy’s career has been as an Analyst Programmer and in Technical Support, working for security and digital print companies in Nottingham and Derby. During this time Andy led the development and data processing on some of the largest statement mailings in the UK at that time.

In the late 90s Andy moved from digital print and into software development with a software company providing print processing, mail sorting and de-duplication systems to the digital print industry.

In 2002 Andy spent a year re-training to become a Microsoft Certified Professional, a Microsoft Certified Application Developer and a Microsoft Office Specialist.

From 2003 Andy worked for training providers in Nottinghamshire preparing and delivering Nottinghamshire County Council funded IT courses as well as Learndirect courses. During this time Andy has provided training and support not only in IT but also in literacy and numeracy in training centres and to distance learners via email and telephone. Andy’s duties also included co-ordinating and assessing all OCR IT qualifications.

Andy recently qualified as a Microsoft Certified Application Specialist, the new qualification for Microsoft Office 2007.

As well as being Microsoft certified, Andy has also achieved the City & Guilds 7407 and Certificate in Education teaching qualifications, graduating with De Montfort University in 2006.

Andy is a Senior Associate of the Institute of IT Training, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and he takes great pride in providing clear explanations in a friendly atmosphere without jargon.
